Such move comes after the US Congress passed a bill that would require TikTok to find a buyer that is not based in China by January 2025, or it will face a ban on its US operations. Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said Trump understands that TikTok has broad reach, emphasizing that there are many ways to hold China accountable.
