US President-elect Donald Trump is expected to try to block a potential ban on TikTok next year, after promising during his campaign to save the company if elected, the Washington Post reported, citing people with the knowledge of the matter.

Such move comes after the US Congress passed a bill that would require TikTok to find a buyer that is not based in China by January 2025, or it will face a ban on its US operations.
