HSBC announced the successful issuance of RMB4.5 billion panda bonds in the mainland interbank bond market. This issuance is part of HSBC Asia-Pacific's recently approved plan to issue a total of RMB10 billion in bonds, marking the second issuance of panda bonds since 2015. The panda bonds issued this time have a three-year term, with a basic issuance size of RMB3 billion.
