The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Informatization Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission issued the “Several Measures to Promote the Export of Second-hand Vehicles in Shanghai” proposing to unblock the foreign trade chain of used cars, and promote the agglomeration development of quality second-hand vehicle export enterprises and their supporting industry chain, as well as to promote a significant increase in the scale of second-hand vehicle exports. The authorities should improve the domestic trading services of used cars and enhance the international recognition of the used car trading and assessment system. The authorities should also give impetus to the construction of functional carriers such as second-hand vehicle information platforms, pricing centers and evaluation centers, forming a virtuous cycle between second-hand vehicle exports and domestic used car transactions, so as to build an international second-hand vehicle export system.
