The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Greater Bay Area Low-altitude Economic Industry Alliance nailed a cooperation MOU, Commercial Radio Hong Kong reported.

Both parties will reportedly train talent for the development of the low-altitude economy and promote the GBA as a global pioneer and demonstration zone for the low-altitude economy.

The founding president of the Alliance and Legislative Council member Elizabeth Quat had said in an interview with RTHK earlier that many companies are interested in developing the low altitude industry, including using drones to deliver takeaways and medicine, and carry out maintenance on the external walls of buildings.

She also pointed out that the low-altitude economy has an extensive industrial chain, covering the production of drones, application scenarios and insurance, with a market size of over $1 trillion.
