The HSI lost 185 points or 0.9% to 20,767 at midday. The HSCEI slid 72 points or 0.96% to 7,474. The HSTECH inched up 5 points or 0.12% to 4,683. Total half-day turnover for the market amounted to $141.185 billion. The first AI car, “Xpeng P7+”, received over 10,000 orders within 12 minutes of launch. XPENG-W (09868.HK) spiked 16%. For other carmakers, GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) leaped 4% and 3.7%, while auto dealer ZHONGSHENG HLDG (00881.HK) surged 13%. Chinese developers retreated, with CIFI HOLD GP (00884.HK), SEAZEN (01030.HK) and KWG GROUP (01813.HK) sagging 4.4-4.9%. SUNAC (01918.HK), LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK), SINO-OCEAN GP (03377.HK), AGILE GROUP (03383.HK) and CHINA JINMAO (00817.HK) slumped 5-5.9%. Cement stock BBMG (02009.HK) waned 4.4%, while Chinese insurers CPIC (02601.HK), CHINA LIFE (02628.HK), PING AN (02318.HK) and CHINA TAIPING (00966.HK) faded 2.7-3%.
