MO 1-3Q24 Total Visitor Spending Rises 8% YoY; Spending Per Capita MOP2,168

Macau's Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) announced that total visitor spending (excluding gaming) in 1-3Q24 hiked 8% YoY to MOP56.21 billion, mainly on a notable YoY rise of 30.1% in visitor arrivals. Among them, the total spending of overnight visitors and same-day visitors saw YoY increases of 5.1% and 22.9%, respectively. Compared with the same period in 2019, total visitor spending gained 17.5%. During the period, per capita spending among visitors was MOP2,168, down 17% YoY and up 36.9% compared with the same period in 2019.
