With Donald Trump elected as the new US president, the world is eyeing on the name list of the new White House team. Reuters reported that Marco Rubio, a Florida senator who has repeatedly promoted various anti-China resolutions, is one of the frontrunners for the position of Secretary of State. Rubio, being the 2016 Republican presidential candidate, had been mentioned as one of Trump's potential deputy candidates in this election, report said. In March 2023, Rubio proposed legislation to the Senate to prohibit tax credits for electric vehicle batteries produced using Chinese technology.
