HK Airport's Three Runway System To Open from 28 Nov; TLB: 120M Pax. Handled Annually from 2035

The Acting Financial Secretary, Michael Wong, announced this morning that the Three Runway System at the Hong Kong International Airport will officially open on 28 November. The Transport and Logistics Bureau (TLB) posted on social media that the full opening of the Three Runway System will mark a new milestone in the development of the Hong Kong International Airport. After the expansion, the airport will be able to handle 120 million passengers and 10 million tons of cargo annually from 2035 and beyond, greatly enhancing its passenger and cargo handling functions, creating more jobs, injecting diverse business opportunities into Hong Kong and entailing huge long-term economic benefits, said the Bureau.
