SK Hynix Chair: Nvidia Requests 6-Mth Early Delivery of Next-Gen HBM4 Chips

Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Hynix, a global high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chip giant, stated at the group's AI summit held in Seoul this morning (4th) that the company is collaborating with Nvidia (NVDA.US) to address supply bottlenecks. Chey mentioned that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had requested him to advance SK Hynix's delivery schedule for the next-generation HBM4 chips by six months in a recent meeting. SK Hynix revealed last month that it expected to supply HBM4 chips to customers in 2H25. Chey said that the HBM4 timeline is ahead of the initial target, but did not provide further details.
