BABA-W (09988.HK) (BABA.US) e-commerce platform Tmall's second round of sales for Double 11 switched on at 8 p.m. on October 31. Since the start of Double 11, a total of 373 brands have manifested sales of over RMB100 million.

Tmall said that the core user group, primarily 88VIP members, continues to expand, and consumer sentiment continues to spike, becoming a strong driving force for brand growth.

Since the pre-sale started on October 14, as of the evening of October 31, the number of 88VIP members placing orders rallied more than 60% compared to the same period last year; the average purchase amount per capita gained by more than 30% YoY; and the number of visits by 88VIP members mounted 50% YoY.
