This morning (30th), gold prices maintained its strength from last night (29th), touching a new peak during the Asian trading session. Spot gold last added 0.2% to US$2,780.28 per ounce, and gold futures for December delivery also rose 0.4% to US$2,792.3 per ounce.

Some gold miners listed in Hong Kong fared well. LINGBAO GOLD (03330.HK), having issued a positive profit alert estimating that its net profit for 3Q24 will be at least RMB150 million, opened 14.85% higher today. It peaked at $3.73, up 23%. It last reported at $3.58, up 18.15%, with 17.798 million shares traded, involving $62.8724 million.

ZHAOJIN MINING (01818.HK) last posted at $14.02, up 1.45%. CHINAGOLDINTL (02099.HK) last printed at $38.2, up 3.52%. ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK), being suppressed, last stood at $16.64, down 1.3%.
