HK IPO Mkt Still Very Healthy, Says HKEX CEO

Bonnie Chan, CEO of HKEX (00388.HK), stated at a forum that although the current activity level of Hong Kong's IPO market has not returned to the fervor seen in 2021, it is stilled considered to be in a reopening phase. The successful listing of MIDEA GROUP (00300.HK) in Hong Kong in September raised US$4.6 billion, making it the largest IPO in Asia this year and the second largest globally, Chan noted. Following the completion of MIDEA GROUP's listing, HKEX completed several other significant transactions, indicating a very healthy situation even without reaching the scale of US$1 billion.
