Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a speech yesterday that the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) should be studied and implemented in depth to guide the whole party and whole nation to have firm confidence in reforms, and to better unite their efforts to advance the reforms in a steady and far-reaching manner. All regions and departments should seriously implement the series of major initiatives identified at the meeting of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party, put various stock and incremental policies in place, make a good combo, and effectively carry out works in the next 2 months, so as to realize the annual economic and social development goals and tasks, Xi said. The authorities should strive to reform the public opinion guidance work, strengthen positive publicity, highlight the main theme, convey positive energy, guide cadres and the masses to enhance their overall consciousness, and correctly deal with the adjustment of interest relationship of the reform and personal gains and losses, Xi added.
