Recently, China's government agencies, including the National Government Offices Administration, have jointly issued the "Notice on Promoting the Use of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in Central and State Agencies", aiming to support the development of the NEV industry and better demonstrate the leading role of central and state agencies, according to Xinhua News Agency. The notice follows the basic principles of the "Administrative Measures for Official Vehicles of Party and Government Organs", clearly stating the need to increase the allocation of NEVs, coordinate the procurement ratio of NEVs, strictly adhere to the standards for NEV allocation, optimize the usage environment for NEVs, and strengthen organizational implementation and publicity guidance. Based on the classification of vehicle usage, the notice specifies that vehicles for confidential communication, law enforcement and duty on relatively fixed routes, and business vehicles with single-use scenarios mainly operating in urban areas should, in principle, be equipped with NEVs. For special professional technical vehicles used for sanitation, technical surveys, and inspection and testing, where NEVs can meet the needs, they should be prioritized for allocation.
