Smartphone sales in China grew 2.3% YoY in 3Q24, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of positive YoY incline, further confirming the market's rebound in 2024, according to the latest data from Counterpoint Research's monthly report on handset sales. It is expected to achieve its first YoY increase in 5 years. During the period, Vivo ranked first again with 19.2% market share, followed by Huawei/ XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), ranking second/ third with 16.4%/ 15.6% market share, respectively. Apple (AAPL.US)'s new iPhone 16 series was launched on 20 September. As of 8 October, more than 70% of iPhone 16 series sales came from the Pro and Pro Max models, underscoring consumer preference for better display, game and imaging experiences, a trend that could lead to more revenue growth for Apple.
