Prosus Sells Entire Stake in TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK) for US$1.5B

Fabricio Bloisi, CEO of Naspers, the South African substantial shareholder of TENCENT (00700.HK), issued a letter to shareholders within the first 100 days of taking office. He said that the company's internet investment flagship Prosus sold shares in TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK) for US$1.5 billion, emphasizing that it will continue to actively manage the investment portfolio as it looks to maximize and unlock more value for its shareholders.

Bloisi, who is also the CEO of Prosus, also stated in the letter that Swiggy, an Indian online food ordering company in which Prosus has a stake, plans to float on the stock market. Bloisi remarked that the company has many more investments in India and will continue to invest there as it remains very excited about the prospects for the country. He expected to see more of the company's investments in India IPO in the coming 12-18 months.
