DiDi Autonomous Driving Completes US$298M Series C Funding Round Led by GAC GROUP

DiDi Autonomous Driving recently completed a Series C funding round of US$298 million, which was led by GAC GROUP (02238.HK) (601238.SH) with participation from DiDi, according to the Shanghai Securities News. The funds will be used to enhance R&D in autonomous driving technology and accelerate the launch of the first mass-produced Robotaxi. It is understood that DiDi Autonomous Driving is committed to utilizing advanced artificial intelligence technology to boost the development and application of L4 autonomous driving technology. In April this year, DiDi Autonomous Driving and GAC Aion's joint venture, Andi Technology, received its business license. The two parties will deeply integrate leading autonomous driving technology with mature experience in new energy vehicle manufacturing to launch the first mass-produced L4 model next year.
