Intel (INTC.US) Plans to Form Foundry Alliance with Samsung: Report

Intel Corporation (INTC.US) sought a foundry alliance with Samsung, and that Intel Corporation's top executives recently requested a meeting with Samsung's top executives, with Intel's CEO, Pat Gelsinger, hoping to meet with Samsung Electronics' Chairman, Lee Jae-yong, in person to discuss comprehensive cooperation in the foundry area, South Korean media quoted sources as saying. Intel has signed deals with Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO.US) and AWS since the establishment of its Intel Foundry Services (IFS) in 2021. However, it has yet to attract large customers to place orders.
