The Macau International Airport announced that the airport handled 144,000 passengers and 1,202 flight movements during the National Day Golden Week holiday this year. The airport received an average of about 20,000 passengers and handled about 171 flights per day, a YoY increment of 27% and 24% compared to the 2023 National Day Golden Week holiday. In addition, the overall passenger volume and flight volume respectively recovered to about 82% and 77% of the 2019 levels.

The Airport said that it will continue to expand more international routes in 4Q24, and is now planning to open a round-trip route between Laos and Macau. In the meantime, the Airport is ambitiously cooperating with a number of airlines to develop routes from Macau to Europe, the US and other regions, providing through-check baggage services, and in line with the Macau SAR Government's tourism development direction, while continuing expansion into the Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian aviation markets.
