Luxembourg Tops Forbes' List of World's Wealthiest Regions; Macau 2nd, HK 15th

Forbes has released this year's ranking of the world's wealthiest countries and regions. Based on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates of each country's or region's per capita GDP adjusted for purchasing power parity (PPP), Luxembourg ranks first with a per capita GDP of US$143,700. Macau follows closely with US$134,100, making it the top in Asia. Ireland ranks third with US$133,900. Taiwan and Hong Kong rank 14th and 15th with US$76,900 and US$75,100, respectively.
