Julia Leung, Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), said in a media interview that the central government launched a series of measures to stimulate a surge in market trading, enabling international investors to regain confidence in the capital markets in mainland China and Hong Kong. Leung believed that Hong Kong's role as a bridge between global and Chinese capital is being strengthened, and expressed confidence in HKEX (00388.HK)'s ability to deal with the huge amount of transactions.
