Avg. Daily Visitors to MO During National Day Golden Week Beat, Expected to Keep 130K+: Tourism Office

Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of the Macau Government Tourism Office, noted in a media interview that the average daily visitor numbers for the first two days of the National Day Golden Week holiday were better than expected with a hotel occupancy rate touching 94.6%. He believed that the overall visitor numbers will reach a new high compared to previous National Day holidays, while daily visitor numbers are expected to remain above 130,000 on average. As Macau's tourism industry is picking up very well thanks to a series of favorable policies from the central government for Macau, Cheng anticipated that this National Day holiday will extend this positive trend.
