CN Encourages Localities to Promote Milk Consumption by Issuing Consumption Vouchers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and 6 other departments issued a notice proposing to promote beef and milk consumption, scientifically publicize and demonstrate the quality and nutritional value of fresh beef and fresh milk, and promote “drinking milk for students”, so as to encourage eligible localities to issue consumption vouchers and other means to stimulate milk consumption. The notice called for efforts to stabilize the basic production capacity of cattle, and required localities to speed up the implementation of the expansion and quality improvement projects for basic cow, so as to cultivate new business entities such as cow family farm and dairy farmer cooperative.
