MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) plans to issue three-and-a-half-year and five-year USD bonds to raise up to US$2 billion, Reuters, citing sources and a term sheet, reported. Sources indicated that the issuance amount for the three-and-a-half-year and five-year USD bonds will each be US$1 billion. The initial pricing guidance for the three-and-a-half-year bonds is around 1.45% above the yield on US three-year Treasury bonds, while the guidance for the five-year bonds is around 1.6% above the yield on US five-year Treasury bonds. The current yield on US three-year and five-year Treasury bonds is around 3.5%. The offering documents stated that Meituan plans to use the proceeds from the fundraising to refinance offshore bonds.
