BABA-W's AI Model Integrates with Nvidia's Self-driving Platform for 1st Time

The cloud computing services unit under BABA-W (09988.HK) (BABA.US) and semiconductor powerhouse Nvidia (NVDA.US) are allying on AI to empower Chinese automakers to advance the self-driving experience, the South China Morning Post reported.

Alibaba Cloud reportedly announced the collaboration when it unveiled its large multimodal model (LMM) solution for automotive applications last Friday (20th). The model was jointly developed with Nvidia and start-up Banma Network Technology. Alibaba Cloud's "Tongyi Qianwen" large language models (LLMs) Qianwen 2-7B and Qianwen 2-VL were integrated with Nvidia's Drive AGX Orin platform, which was the first integration of Alibaba Cloud's foundation model with Nvidia's autonomous driving platform.
