CN NEV-PV Retail Sales Vol. Hikes 63% YoY/ 12% MoM in First Half of Sep

From September 1 to 15, 828,000 passenger vehicles (PVs) were retailed, representing an 18% YoY growth and a 12% MoM increase, data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed. The national wholesalers of PVs sold 868,000 vehicles, a 9% YoY hike and a 45% MoM rise. YTD, the total retail sales were 14.293 million units, up 3% YoY, whereas the total wholesale sales were 16.808 million units, up 4% YoY.

From September 1 to 15, there were 445,000 retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles (NEV-PVs), a YoY increment of 63% and a MoM spike of 12%, data also suggested; and there were 441,000 wholesale sales of NEV-PVs by manufacturers across the country, a YoY surge of 49% and a MoM rise of 29%. YTD, the total retail sales reached 6.454 million units, a YoY growth of 37%; and the total wholesale sales reached 7.12 million units, a YoY escalation of 32%.
