Apple Said to Contract 1st Batch of Production Capacity of TSMC's 2nm Chips

Apple (AAPL.US)’s iPhone 16 series using TSMC (TSM.US)’s 3nm process is selling like hot cakes, Taiwan's Economic Daily News reported. Apple confirmed that it will contract TSMC's first batch of production capacity of 2nm and subsequent A16, industry rumor spread. Among which, 2nm production capacity is projected to be fully introduced as soon as 2025 for the iPhone 17 Pro.

Apple will adopt TSMC's 2-nm process to make the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max chips, foreign media reported. As for the rumored ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air model, it may continue to use the 3-nm process.
