Trump Escapes Another Assassination Attempt; Gunman Arrested

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump escaped unscathed from another assassination attempt yesterday (15th). The suspect was already apprehended.

The incident occurred at Trump's private golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, when he was playing golf. US Secret Service agents spotted a gunman outside the course and fired four shots at him at around 1:30 pm local time. At that time, the gunman was around 400-500 yards (365-457 meters) away from Trump.

Witnesses reported that the gunman dropped an object resembling an AK-47 automatic rifle, a gun bag, and other items before fleeing in a black Nissan car.

The New York Times and Fox News identified the suspect as 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh from Hawaii. The FBI declined to comment on the gunman's identity.
