The nomination for the election of Macau's new Chief Executive closed yesterday (12th), with only one nomination received from the former president of Macau’s Court of Final Appeal, Sam Hou Fai. The authorities are expected to announce the finalized list of candidates by 20 September at the latest. Sam submitted his nomination form to the election committee on Tuesday, and as of Monday evening, he received nominations from 383 committee members, accounting for about 96% of the total 400 members.
