Ray Zhang, the representative in South Korea at AliExpress, a subsidiary of BABA-W (09988.HK), commented that the platform will aim to attract more than half of South Korea's e-commerce users in three to five years. He said AliExpress can help South Korean small and medium-sized enterprises develop overseas markets with its global network, as it currently provides services in more than 180 countries and regions.

According to IGAWorks, a data service provider in South Korea, the number of monthly active users of AliExpress was 6.69 million in August, ranking third in South Korea, behind South Korea's homegrown e-commerce platform Coupang's 31.38 million users and 11Street's 7.68 million users.
