According to a recent Daiwa report, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) announced adjustments to the Southbound Stock Connect list. BABA-W (09988.HK), CLOUD MUSIC (09899.HK), and others were added to the Southbound Stock Connect, while CMGE (00302.HK), LINMON MEDIA (09857.HK), TONGDAO LIEPIN (06100.HK), and 30 other stocks were removed from the list. Daiwa expected the newly included stocks to attract the attention of investors in Mainland China. As of September 7, among the stocks covered by the broker, TENCENT (00700.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), BILIBILI-W (09626.HK), and EAST BUY (01797.HK) were held by northbound funds at 10%, 12.76%, 14.5%, 16.03%, and 27.49% respectively.
