As preliminary data shows that Macau received 3.66 million visitors in August, Macau Government Tourism Office Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes described the entire summer holiday period as a very prosperous time for Macau, Radio Macau reported. She anticipates that China's National Day Golden Week will be the next peak period for inbound tourists. This year, the Macao International Fireworks Display Contest will coincide with the Golden Week, which is expected to attract even more visitors to Macau.
