LAI SUN DEV (00488.HK) is selling its Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel for as much as $5 billion, Hong Kong media reported, citing market sources. HK01 quoted Poon Yui Man, senior vice president of LAI SUN DEV, as saying that the group has not taken the initiative to sell the hotel, but he admitted that from time to time there are people in the market who express interest in purchasing it. He declined to comment on whether the group would consider selling if approached with an offer from a consortium. The Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel has a total construction area of about 366,000 square feet and around 471 guest rooms.
