The State Council Information Office released the White Paper “China's Energy Transformation”. Wan Jinsong, deputy director of the National Energy Administration (NEA), said at the conference that China's investment in energy transformation whopped US$676 billion as of 2023, the largest investment in energy transformation in the world. Exported wind power and photovoltaic products assisted other countries to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 810 million tons.

Zhang Jianhua, Director of the NEA, said that the White Paper objectively demonstrates the remarkable contribution made by China to the global green transformation. Over the past decade, the share of renewable energy installed capacity of China to the world has been above 40%. The share of non-fossil energy consumption of China to the world elevated from 13.6% to 18.5%, of which the Mainland contributed 45.2%. As of the end of 2023, the installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power shot up 10 times compared with a decade ago.
