Forbes Unveils '2024 Best CEOs in China'; BYD Wang Chuanfu On List for 4th Yr

Forbes has unveiled its list of 2024 Best CEOs in China. The top 10 CEOs led companies that saw their share prices rise by an average of 47% during the performance review period, and saw their net profits rocket by an average of 170% in the most recent financial year, with overseas revenues contributing an average of 33% to growth. The top 10 CEOs on the list included Chen Lei and Zhao Jiazhen, co-CEOs of Pinduoduo (PDD.US); Lei Jun of XIAOMI-W (01810.HK); Zeng Yuxuan of Contemporary Amperex (300750.SZ); Wang Chuanfu of BYD COMPANY (01211.HK); Sun Jie of TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK); Li Huagang of HAIER SMARTHOME (06690.HK); Zhong Shanshan of NONGFU SPRING (09633.HK); and Ding Lei of NTES-S (09999.HK). Although this year's list did not highlight the ranking of CEOs, the full chart showed that Chen Lei and Zhao Jiazhen of Pinduoduo were in the first place by order. In addition to Chen Lei and Zhao Jiazhen from Pinduoduo, four more post-80s CEOs joined the list this year. Wang Ning, CEO of POP MART (09992.HK), was born in 1987, making him the youngest founder on the list. The most noteworthy female CEO on the list was HAIDILAO (06862.HK)'s Yang Lijuan (who stepped down in June). She has put the company back on a growth trajectory in just three years since her appointment in 2021. ANTA SPORTS (02020.HK) co-CEO Lai Shixian, CMOC (03993.HK) Sun Ruiwen, GIANT BIOGENE (02367.HK) Yan Jianya, LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) Yang Yuanqing, MNSO (09896.HK) Ye Guofu, FUYAO GLASS (03606.HK) Ye Shu, BOSS ZHIPIN-W (02076.HK) Zhao Peng, HANSOH PHARMA (03692.HK) Zhong Huijuan, NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) Zhou Chenggang and ZIJIN MINING (02899.HK) Zou Laichang were also on the list.
