LUK FOOK HOLD (00590.HK) announced that overall retail sales value for 1FQ25 ended June dropped 18% YoY, mainly due to high base effect and record high gold prices. Overall same-store sales (SSS) declined 34%, with Hong Kong and Macau markets falling 36% and Mainland China dropping 24%. SSS of gold products dropped by 33% during the quarter as average international gold prices rose by 18% YoY, weakening consumer sentiment. Over the same period, overall retail sales revenue decreased by 23%, of which a fall of 31% was recorded in Hong Kong and Macau markets, and a decline of 3% was logged in the Mainland.
