HK Logs 21M Visitor Arrivals in 1H24, Hiking 64% YoY

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced that the preliminary visitor arrivals figure for June was 3.13 million, rising 14% YoY. Cumulatively, about 21 million visitor arrivals were recorded in 1H24, hiking 64% YoY, while the average daily visitor arrivals were 116,000. Figures showed that in 1H, about 16.1 million Mainland visitor arrivals were recorded, soaring 60% YoY, while the number of non-Mainland visitor arrivals stood at 5.0 million, surging 80% YoY. Overnight visitors accounted for 50% of the total visitor arrivals, with an average stay of 3.2 nights in Hong Kong. Visitors were generally satisfied with Hong Kong. On a scale of 10, the satisfaction rating of overnight visitors from January to May this year was 8.7 marks, and their intention to revisit Hong Kong and their recommendation rating both reached 94%.
