CAAC: Number of Passengers Carried by Civil Aviation in June Rises 10.5% YoY

A relevant person in charge of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) noted in a press conference that in June, the civil aviation industry as a whole completed 12.08 billion tonne-kilometres of total transport revenue, a YoY growth of 19.2% and an increase of 14.2% over the same period in 2019. The number of passengers carried was 58.665 million, elevating 10.5% YoY and rising 9.8% over the same period in 2019. Among them, the scale of domestic passenger traffic expanded 12.6% over the same period in 2019, while international passenger traffic completed 5.357 million passenger trips, recovering to 88.1% of the same period in 2019, with the recovery level exceeding 80% for five consecutive months.
