Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor to Open to Traffic at 3 pm This Sunday

According to CCTV reports, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will be officially opened to traffic at 3 pm this Sunday (30 June). After 7 years of construction, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor will link Shenzhen and Zhongshan through a set of bridges, islands, tunnels, and underwater interchanges in one, with a total length of about 24 kilometres and a combined total of 8 lanes for both directions. The route passed the acceptance checks on 16 June. After the commissioning, the driving time between Shenzhen and Zhongshan will only be half an hour. Supporting facilities and services in Shenzhen, Zhongshan and along the waters are ready in advance to facilitate the smooth opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor.
