PetroChina US Branch to Pay US$14.5M Fine for Misclassifying Oil Exports to Mexico

According to Reuters, PetroChina International America, a unit of PETROCHINA (00857.HK), agreed to pay fines and forfeitures totaling US$14.5 million for violating US export law, the US Department of Justice said. The branch labeled over US$32 million of ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel as mineral oil mix for various 2019-2020 export transactions to Mexico, the authority said.
