HK Govt Deficit Reaches HK$118.3B in First 11 Mths of This FY

The Government announced its financial results for the 11 months ended 29 February 2024. There was a deficit of HK$17.4 billion in the month of February. Expenditure for the 11-month period amounted to HK$647.2 billion and revenue HK$457.2 billion, with the cumulative year-to-date deficit at HK$118.3 billion after taking into account the proceeds of HK$72.5 billion received from issuance of green bonds and repayment of principal of HK$0.8 billion under the Government Green Bond Programme (Green Bond).
