The HSI settled the day trade higher by 152 pts or 0.8% to 19,252. The HSCEI hiked 61 pts or 0.9% to 6,541. The HSTECH rose 86 pts or 2.3% to 3,921. The full-day turnover shrank to $86.724 billion. Techs thrived. BABA-SW (09988.HK) leaped 2.1% to $84.05. TENCENT (00700.HK) added 1.3% to $335.6. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), JD-SW (09618.HK) and XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) lifted 1.4%-2%. Chinese property developers traced eased upswing broadly as financial regulators in many places in Mainland China purportedly investigate the real estate market and changes in financial risks. KWG GROUP (01813.HK) surged 6.5%. SEAZEN (01030.HK) and AGILE GROUP (03383.HK) swelled 3.8% and 3%. Yet LONGFOR GROUP (00960.HK) fell 0.9%. CHINA OVERSEAS (00688.HK) dropped 0.2%. TECHTRONIC IND (00669.HK), after dismissing the allegations in the short seller report and receiving support from brokers, rebounded 5.7%, being the top gainer among blue chips.
