ND PAPER (02689.HK) announced that the Group is expected to record a loss attributable to equity holders of the Company ranging from approximately RMB1.25 billion to RMB1.45 billion for the six months ended 31 December 2022, as compared to the profit attributable to the equity holders of the Company approximately RMB2.77 billion to the six months ended 31 December 2021. The loss attributable to equity holders of the Company mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation adversely impacted domestic market; the conflict between Russia and Ukraine caused high inflation globally; and the selling price of the products decreased substantially while the cost of raw materials and sales volume remained relatively stable which led to the substantial decrease of gross profit margin for the Period, the announcement added.
