The Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office (HMO) of the State Council announced that, beginning from midnight on 6 February 2023, relevant reservation requirement and travel quota system for people entering or leaving Mainland China via land control points connecting Guangdong and Hong Kong will be removed. Additionally, starting from the same day, Hong Kong and Macau visitors with no overseas travel history in the past seven days will be permitted to enter Mainland China without a negative result of a pre-departure nucleic acid test for COVID-19.
