Fitch Assigns HK Proposed Digital Bond Issuance 'AA-' Rating

Fitch Ratings has assigned Hong Kong's proposed USD, EUR, RMB and HKD digital bonds a 'AA-' rating. A blockchain-underpinned technological platform is involved in relation to the issuance of the bonds. The bonds will be issued under the Hong Kong government's global medium-term note programme. Proceeds from the bonds will be used to finance eligible projects under the issuer's Green Bond Framework.
