The HSI slipped 7 points to 21,387 at midday. The HSCEI ebbed 9 points or 0.1% to 7,887. The HSTECH dropped 24 points or 0.5% to 4,863. Total half-day turnover of the market amounted to $137.806 billion.

A total of 118 domestic and 9 imported online games were approved in April, including TENCENT (00700.HK) and NTES-S (09999.HK). TENCENT and NTES-S lost 0.8% each. The market continued to be concerned about competition in the food delivery industry, with MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) both shrinking 6.6% at midday.

A local government also issued automobile consumption voucher. Carmakers LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK), LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) and NIO-SW (09866.HK) mounted 2.9-3.7%, while XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) elevated 4.2% to $43.7. BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) added 0.9% to $369.4, while GWMOTOR (02333.HK) faded 2.5%.
