Morgan Stanley published a research report finding that the average daily room rate of hotel in Macau during 2025 May Day Golden Week is 14% lower than that of the Chinese New Year (CNY) period and 2% below the 2024 May Day Golden Week, according to the channel data. The current occupancy rate dropped by 5 ppts from 2025 CNY period, but hiked by 4 ppts from the same period of 2024. In terms of individual performance, GALAXY ENT (00027.HK)'s Galaxy Hotel and Hotel Okura saw quarterly declines in average daily room rates and occupancy, while SANDS CHINA LTD (01928.HK)'s Londoner Macao saw weaker occupancy, with higher average daily room rates.
