The spread of an unknown respiratory infection in Russia and market rumors regarding China's optimization of the centralized procurement plan for pharmaceuticals led pharma A-shares to hit the day limit. Hong Kong-listed pharmas surged, with AKESO (09926.HK) soaring 12.9%. CSPC PHARMA (01093.HK) and REMEGEN (09995.HK) surged 10.9% and 10.3%, while CMS (00867.HK) escalated 7.4%. PHARMARON (03759.HK), INNOVENT BIO (01801.HK), FOSUN PHARMA (02196.HK), CANSINOBIO (06185.HK), INNOCARE (09969.HK) and SSY GROUP (02005.HK) advanced 4-5.5%. For techs, BABA-W (09988.HK), TENCENT (00700.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) and NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) lifted 0.9-1.4%, while XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and SMIC (00981.HK) lost 5.5% and 3.9%. NTES-S (09999.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) mounted 4.1% and 3.3%, while JD-SW (09618.HK) picked up 0.2%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) shed 1.1%.
