UK to Raise Energy Price Cap by 6.4% in 2Q, Larger than Expected

The UK's Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) announced a larger-than-expected 6.4% increase in gas and electricity price cap for the 2Q ending June 2025. The price cap changes every 3 months and is largely determined by the cost of energy in the wholesale market.
