The U.S. government plans to further toughen up the control of U.S. chips and ask its major allies to tighten their grip on China's chip industry, Bloomberg, citing people with the knowledge of the matter, reported.

The U.S. officials recently met with officials from Japan and the Netherlands to discuss curbs on Tokyo Electron and ASML engineers repairing chip equipment in China.
